Meet Harvey

Harvey is a 13 year old non-verbal young man with autism. He is proficient in using picture exchange and voice output devices including the iPad. His only verbalizations thus far have been, “ba, ba, ba, ba, ba…” using an up and down motion of the jaw with no lip or tongue movement.

He has been exposed to VAST Autism 1 for approximately one month and his verbalizations have increased significantly. Harvey can now imitate the syllables mama, papa, dada and oooo with great attempts at tongue tip elevation for lala. He is able to say the words, hi, bye, up and ball.

These results are amazing for a young man who was non-verbal last month.
